Suzuki Workshops

March 18, 2006:  David gave two composition workshops with Suzuki students at the University of Manitoba.   The younger group of students (aged 4 to 5) worked on narrative-based soundscape compositions using voice, body sounds and Orff instruments.  The older group (aged 6 to 12) explored the raw materials of music, the nature of sound, control of texture, and simple formal principles.
